Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz Available on DVD now Review

I am a huge fan of Tom & Jerry as well as the Wizard of Oz. I call myself a Wizard of Oz collector seeing as I have a bunch of memorabilia from the movie so when I saw this was coming out on DVD I knew I had to have it. I will admit I was a bit excited and so were the kids when it arrived and we popped it in. 

 
I think my love of the movie the Wizard of Oz taints my opinion of this movie a bit. The storyline is accurate enough with the same words being used by the original movie but has a little Tom & Jerry flair and antics to it. I was laughing during the whole movie but I do wish it was a bit longer. You don’t even get to see Dorothy meet up with the Scarecrow, Tin man or the Lion and that is one of my favorite parts of the original movie. 

The good thing about this movie is that if you have a younger child like Little T who hasn’t watched the Wizard of Oz yet because she is a bit young for it still, it doesn’t scare her. I think this is a great movie for kids and Tom & Jerry lovers of all ages. It can also be used as prep to the original Wizard of Oz movie for younger kids.
