I have fond memories growing up and going to sleepovers or on camping trips with Girl Scouts. It was always a really fun time staying up late, eating snack and treats, and watching movies. I guess it is a little different for girls than boys but not less exciting. Recently Big J went on his first sleepover and the one thing that he didn’t have is a sleeping bag. Sure, we have gone camping before but we always have airbeds they lay on or in the camper.
I went on a search for a sleeping bag that would be fit for him. I wanted something a little boyish so it could be his and not have to share it with one of his sisters as time went on. I was so thrilled when I found the Augie Alligator sleeping bag from Melissa and Doug. I knew this sleeping bag would be perfect for him.
When our Augie arrived in the mail Big J immediately fell in love he couldn’t wait to get it out of the box and the bag. The first thing that I noticed was the sack that the sleeping bag came inside. It has this cute little alligator face on it and it’s perfect for storing the sleeping bag in.
Once Augie was out Big J climbed into him and made himself comfortable. Augie is very plus and features little feet that are stuffed and add to the charm of this little sleeping bag. Big J slide in through the mouth of the alligator that is complete with teeth. Since it is plush and soft he can snuggle down into it. I don’t have to worry if he is going to be cold at night on his sleepovers because he can’t kick the blankets off in the middle of the night. It is durable and it is easy to clean as well. Just wipe it down and you are all set to go. The sleeping bag is smooth and the zipper is well hidden so it can’t accidently get stuck in their clothes or scratch him in the face.
We are extremely happy with our Augie the Alligator sleeping bag from Melissa and Doug. He gets compliments whenever he goes to sleepovers and I happily recommend Melissa and Dough.
